Nothing complicated here! Satisfy your sweet tooth with this super simple peanut butter pie. Grab a bite (or 20!) and indulge in a little bit of heaven.
Growing up my Granny Kays peanut butter pie was always one of my favorite desserts! I especially loved coming home from school to find one already in the refrigerator. Of course all well loved treats never last long in my family but that just made me treasure each and every piece that much more.
There’s nothing more special than family recipes because they always seem to taste a little bit like childhood. There’s nothing that tastes more like being a kid than a bowl of pinto beans with cornbread, Papa’s no bake oatmeal cookies and a slice of this pie.
Although I’m a bit partial to Granny’s super simple peanut butter pie, there’s more to it than just sentimental value. Just as the name implies this pie is SUPER simple. If the recipe is too complicated then chances are this mama’s not going to mess with it!

Ingredients
8 oz of cream cheese, softened
1 cup of confectioners sugar
1/2 cup of peanut butter (up it to 3/4 if you want the pie more rich!)
8 oz cool whip
one graham cracker pie crust
How To Make A Super Simple Peanut Butter Pie
Start out by softening the cream cheese. It’s much easier to work with if everything is good and soft prior to mixing! You can leave it at room temperature for a while or pop in the microwave a few seconds to speed up the process.
Next, add the cream cheese, confectioners sugar, peanut butter and cool whip into a large bowl. Beat with a mixer until everything is well combined.
Once the filling is ready simply dump into the graham cracker crust and smooth everything out evenly.
Pop the pie into the refrigerator a couple of hours to set up and enjoy!
Special Notes
You can add toppings if desired but we like it plain Jane around here! Some ideas for toppings could be chocolate drizzle, whipped cream, or crushed Reece Cups.
This is not a super rich pie. It’s pretty light with a decadent creamy consistency. Don’t be afraid to add more peanut butter for a richer taste!

Can’t wait to try this for my family. A dessert that brings back childhood memories for me is better than sex poke cake. My Mamaw changed the name to Veterans cake because the other name made her blush lol
Haha! Love that!
This is so good!! My family are chocolate lovers so I made an Oreo cookie crust and sprinkled chopped peanut butter cups on top. This is a new go to dessert.
I’m so glad! I’ll have to try making one with an Oreo crust next time.
