I just made my biggest order yet from Usborne and can’t wait to share how these make the perfect gifts for kids no matter what age!

Christmas is right around the corner and this girl is READY! Okay, not exactly. I like to be mostly finished with my shopping before December and still have a long ways to go. If you want to be technical I’m not at all prepared I’d say but for sure excited!
Holidays seemed much more magical as a child but Christmas is the one holiday that I may more more excited about now that I’m a mom. The joyful faces of my own children on Christmas morning are worth everything!
Something that I am not as joyful over is the mess that comes along with the holiday season. The never ending cycle of toys, toys and more toys are enough to make me rip my hair out. We try and de-clutter before the season starts but even then it’s never enough.
Books are the one thing we can’t get enough of though, especially GOOD QUALITY books. Usborne Books are literally a dream come true and I’m only majorly disappointed they weren’t around when I was a child. This post is not at all sponsored but I just really love these books and wanted to share that with you all too!

What Makes Usborne Books So Great?
I was first introduced to Usborne Books And More at a festival a few years ago. My son was a small toddler and the vendor surrounded by children’s books definitely caught my eye. I browsed through the selection and watched customer after customer make remarks about how they would never pay $10 for a book.
The remarks were a bit off putting but I still had to check them out for myself and I quickly discovered that these weren’t like any book I’d ever seen. I purchased our first Usborne book at that festival and “That’s Not My Tractor” still receives lots of love over 3 years later.
Usborne has such a wide range of books from babies all the way to teenagers making it a great option for any family with kids. They have touch and feel books, activity books, coloring books, etc. The list goes on and on.
One of my favorites about Usborne is that they provide many educational books making it a great addition to our homeschool curriculum!
My Biggest Usborne Book Haul Yet
Up until here recently I’d only bought 2-3 books at a time when I placed an order, but went all out this go round! My order ended up being a total of 17 books plus a box set of 50! I bought Christmas gifts for my own kids, a few for friends, birthday gifts and some I’m saving for Easter (well trying at least).
Of course I also bought some for homeschooling resources and a few just because I wanted to!
Books I Got For Christmas
Wind Up Race Cars
Santa only brings the Fox kids 4 items. Those include “something you want, something you need, something to wear, and something to read.” I started this when Wyatt was a baby and it has worked out perfect! Obviously I needed a book for each of my kids as “something to read” and Usborne always comes to the rescue.
I’ve had my eye on Wind Up Race Cars for several months now but finally ended up grabbing it. It’s a real book and includes an actual story with 3 separate race tracks. In addition it comes with two wind up cars that race each other. I know the kids will love it!
Don’t Tickle The Hippo
Wren’s book is actually a new release and you all, I am DYING over it! Don’t Tickle The Hippo has to be one of the cutest books I’ve ever seen. It has an on and off switch on the back and on each page has a different animal that the kids can tickle. I may be sick of hearing animal sounds before it’s all said and done but for now I’m totally crazy over it. (the good kind of crazy)
It’s Christmastime!
Technically I bought It’s Christmastime to be a Christmas book but loved it so much I went ahead and gave it to the kids the second I made it home with the package. It’s a reusable sticker book, similar to our All Better book. My favorite about this one is that the kids can mix and match where they’d like to put the stickers.
Little Wipe Clean Dinosaurs To Copy And Trace
I bought Little Wipe Clean Dinosaurs To Copy And Trace as an addition to Wyatt’s stocking. The kid is obsessed with dinosaurs and drawing so I know it will be a hit with him!
Muddle And Match: Imagine & Farm Animals
I bought Muddle And Match: Imagine for Wren to include in her Christmas stocking and Muddle And Match: Farm Animals for our cousin who is the same age. These books have been on my wish list basically since I made my first Usborne order! I kept going back and forth on getting one and I’m glad I finally did. They are super cute!
Each page is divided into 3 different sections that you can flip over to mix and match the story for tons of combinations. I know the kids will think it’s hilarious!
Big Doodling Book
I bought the Big Doodling Book for our friend’s little girl who is 5 years old. It’s a pretty large book with lots of pages and illustrations on things to doodle!
Books I Got For Birthdays
Find The Duck
Find The Duck is a book that we already own and it’s one of Wren’s favorites! No matter how many times she finds the duck on each page it never gets old. We are gifting this book to a friend’s little girl who is turning 2 this month.
Are You There Little Owl?
Are You There Little Owl is part of a the “Are You There” series that Usborne offers. I bought this book for a sweet baby girl who turned one recently. We own Are You There Little Fox which is another favorite of Wren’s. I actually think it was her Christmas gift last year.
Color And Pop Up Mermaids
I bought Color and Pop Up Mermaids as a birthday gift for a 5 year old girl later on this month! It seems to be a super neat coloring book!
Build Your Own Monster Book
Build Your Own Monster Book is a sticker book that I purchased for one of Wyatt’s friends who just turned 5 years old. I’ll probably go back and order this again for Wyatt one of these days.
Homeschooling Resource Books
My First Reading Library
As a new homeschool family you know I had to purchase a few educational books! My First Reading Library is another set of books that I have went back and forth on buying. Ultimately I broke down and gave it a shot. These are such a great set of books for early readers! Wyatt is not quite ready to begin but hopefully these will work great for Kindergarten next year.
I absolutely love how on one page the adult reads and the second page is for the kids. It’s a great way to make the books exciting instead of reading super simple books. “I am Pat. Pat is a cat” only goes so far before they lose interest.
Wipe Clean First Math
Since my 4 year old has showed a big interest in numbers here lately I didn’t hesitate on grabbing the Wipe Clean First Math book. We have already used it at least 10 times so far!
Big Book Of Rockets And Spacecraft
Both my husband and son are both interested in all things space. Although my 4 year old might be a bit young for Big Book Of Rockets And Spacecraft, I know he will still get a kick out of looking at the awesome photos and large flap out pages. We own the Big Book Of Big Dinosaurs and it’s his number one favorite!
Nibbles Numbers
My heart just couldn’t resist buying another Nibbles book. If you haven’t heard of Nibbles The Book Eating Monster then you are missing out! He is the cutest book character ever made, seriously. Nibbles chews his way through parts of the book. In the Nibbles Numbers book he eats numbers of course! I bought this one for Wren to help her learn numbers 1-10.
Books I Got For Easter
Get Outside Collection
The last of my Usborne Book Haul is a set of 3 books I bought for Wyatt’s Easter basket. I know, I’m getting a bit ahead of myself. In all honesty, I probably won’t make it til Easter but I can only try! Included in the Get Outside Collection is Look Inside Nature, Nature Journal, and Outdoor Book. I know we will have so much fun with these as Spring and Summer arrive!
