Simple Oatmeal Bath Salts

This simple oatmeal bath salt recipe is so therapeutic, skin soothing and hydrating you'll never want to get out of the bath!
Total Time5 mins
Servings: 1 bath salt

Equipment

  • spice grinder
  • funnel
  • 4 oz tall mason jar

Ingredients

  • 3 TBS old fashioned oats finely ground
  • 3 TBS himalayan pink salt
  • 3 TBS epsom salt
  • 10-15 drops essential oil optional

Instructions

  • Using a spice grinder you'll need to grind up 3 TBS of oats as finely as you can. The desired consistency is almost powder like and this is what you want to avoid large pieces of oat floating around in the bath.
  • After grinding up the oats transfer them to the bottom of your glass container. Using a funnel definitely helps to avoid mess but isn't required. Give the container a little shake to smooth out the oats as evenly as you can.
  • Now you'll add 3 TBS pink Himalayan salt and last the Epsom salt on top.
  • If you choose to use essential oils then add last so the Epsom salt soak them up. I like using lavender!
